I believe that we carry our home within us.
It's not just walls and furniture. It's a place where we can say something about ourselves – through the colors, patterns, and objects we choose every day. Not because they are trendy, but because they suit us.
That's how Dekoraidea was born.
I have always enjoyed seeing potential where others saw an ordinary object. When I discovered the decoupage technique, I realized that I had found a way to create beautiful, practical, and characterful items. Over time, I started looking for wooden utility items that I could decorate in my own way – with bold pattern compositions, refined details, and a handmade finish.
Today, I primarily create key cabinets, tissue boxes, trinket boxes, and hangers. Items we use every day that can make daily life a little more beautiful.
I like combining distinctive patterns with functionality. I'm not afraid of geometry, figures, birds, or cats. Instead of following well-trodden paths, I look for my own combinations and my own rhythm. I finish each project by hand, adding details that give it depth and make the decoration look like it's painted.
I also feel strongly about giving objects a second life. I believe that a good idea can bring out the beauty in things that someone else considered ordinary or unnecessary. That's why I often use wood, restore objects, and dye them with coffee infusion, allowing nature to co-create their character.
Dekoraidea was founded on the belief that it's worth choosing less, but better. That craftsmanship matters. That objects can stay with us for years, changing along with our home and still fitting in.
The greatest joy for me is the thought that one day someone will look at one of my items and say:
"This item is now part of my home."
Because those are the kinds of things I want to create.
